A Homemade Wrinkle Cream That Works!
A new year, another year older.
Argh the dreaded effects of aging are upon me…
Luckily, I don’t have to spend an arm and a leg to help repair my skin. This is super simple and much cheaper than what you can buy and you know what…No chemicals!
The best part about this is there’s only 3 ingredients!
First is kokum butter which is ahhmazing. I like to use this instead of shea butter for my face since it’s less aromatic. This butter rejuvenates skin cells and supports elasticity. I’ve noticed quite a lot of skin repair since using this. You can find kokum butter here.
Second is rose hip seed oil which helps treat wrinkles and aging skin. Go look at your expensive wrinkle cream and I bet this is one of the ingredients, if not the main ingredient! You can find the one I use here.
Last but not least, sweet almond oil, it softens and conditions the skin while adding the perfect consistency to this cream. You can buy sweet almond oil here.
Method:
I grabbed these pots from my local thrift store. You’ll need a double boiler or two pots that fit inside each other. First, you’ll need to melt your kokum butter. Fill your bottom pan with water and set your top one in with the kokum butter. Turn your burner on low and stir frequently until melted.
Add the rose hip seed oil and fill the rest of your 4 oz container with almond oil (or your preferred oil) and stir until combined. Stir really well! A small whisk can be used or a popsicle stick.
Pour mix into container and let cool. I got this little 4 oz. container from The Container Store.
I like to put some on before bed and before makeup in the morning. I love how my skin feels now!

Can you add tamanu butter to this recipe for more anti aging benefits
Casually Unexpected says
I have not tried tamanu butter before but I believe that would help especially with acne and scarring. If you try it out, let me know how it goes.

I love DIY stuff. I’ve never tried a DIY for skincare before. I’ll try this. If it works well, it’ll be good for gift giving. Thanks
